A good sweet potato hash is always my favorite thing to eat at any time. I really love their balance of the sweet, salty, and spicy flavors of the potato in other vegetables. I know the smoky and spicy flavors of all veggies and sweet potatoes when it cooks and is fried in yummy and tasty spices. Also, love when sweet potatoes get deliciously crispy on the bottom of the hot skillet. But the most thing is that it’s very healthy and good for health and tasty.
Sweet potato hash recipe makes very easy and good thing its ingredients are almost available in your kitchen. Their hot chili and black paper enhance their taste. It is very nicely spiced with chili powder and other veggies and also cover with black paper. When we add eggs in, it is healthier and increases the taste of the recipe. Eggs make it perfect for breakfast. You also make it for your lunch and dinner. Sweet potato taste and hot spice and salts give a great balance. Easily ready in just 30 minutes.
Here are the ingredients that we need to cook our delicious recipe today:
- 4 eggs
- 1 avocado, well sliced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 4 teaspoons cooking oil
- Hot sauces, for serving
- 2 garlic, and thinly sliced
- Lime wedges, for squeezing
- Sea salt and fresh black pepper
- ½ small red onion, proper chopped
- 4 kale leaves, stemmed and torn
- 2,3 sweet potatoes, cut into ½-inch cubes
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish, optional
- 1 black pepper, stemmed, seeded, and well chopped
Sweet potato, is our today main ingredient. Wash the potatoes and cut them into 1/2-inch cubes of similar size. Try to cut the potato in the same and equal size and then cook through on the stove.
Red onion and garlic:
Red onions and garlic add more of a savory, umami flavor to the recipe. Cut the onions and garlic properly chopped and finite. And carefully fry it. So it doesn’t burn on the bottom of the pan.
It uses for better texture and heat.
Oil is used for sautéing the veggies. I really like its flavor and fragrance in Sweet potato hash. You also use cooking oil and olive oil in the recipe.
Chili powder is used to make our recipe smoky and add a unique spicy flavor. Use your homemade chili powder otherwise you can also use store-purchased chili.
Kale would be fine too!

My favorites are the avocado, hot sauce, fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice. Other tasty options are pickled onions, pickled jalapeños, and smoky vegan bacon!
To make the Hash, You start by sautéing the garlic and onions, and paper until they properly soften. When you see the onions get soft now add the chili and black paper in it and fry again.
Remove the pan and add more oil to the pan. The sweet potato adds to the pan and again cook until it is soft and tender. They take 8 to 10 minutes to get soft and cook properly. That time, you add the sautéed veggies back to the pan along with the chili powder and kale.
Now is the time to add eggs. Make 4 weeks in the veggies’ mixture for the eggs. Crack the eggs in the recipe. Cook until the eggs are properly set. After 3 to 5 min, check them and remove the pan from the flame. Add salt and black pepper to enhance the taste of the recipe and serve the Delicious Sweet potato hash.
Sweet Potato Hash Recipe Tips:
Cover the pan when adding the eggs. Properly cover the pan with lead. So the egg properly cooks inside and is more tasty and yummy in taste. It also helps the sweet potatoes become tender throughout.
Change up the veggies:
If you have some other veggies, you can use them and try different tastes. You replace the veggies according to your taste. You can also add white potatoes for the sweet potatoes or use a mix of the two. Fresh corn kernels and cauliflower or broccoli florets would also make good additions. Strain the eggs and toss 1 cup of cooked black beans into the hash. Season to taste and serve with the avocado slices on top. Vegan smoked bacon would also make a great dressing! Go ahead. This recipe isn’t quick enough to make on a normal weekday morning, but you can make it for a meal to speed up the process!
Cook the vegetable mixture in advance. After adding the chili powder and kale to the skillet, divide the mince into airtight containers and refrigerate for up to 3 days. When you’re ready to eat, reheat the vegetables on the stove or in the microwave and top with a fried egg.
