The main event

The new garlic flatbread, which can be enhanced by adding cheese, is the first option. It is chargrilled and coated with garlic, chili, and herb butter.

He thought it was wonderful and really enjoyed it.

The burrito bowl is my favorite item on their new menu.I adore all of these things, and the serving size is so generous that I had to take some leftovers home to eat for lunch the next day!

Salad, spring onion rice, black beans, avocado, cheese, slaw, and pico de gallo are all included in the bowl.

Then you can select your topping from smoked chipotle pulled jackfruit, shredded beef cooked in chipotle, or smoked chipotle chicken.

You can also replace your cheese with vegan cheese.

The flavors in the burrito bowl blended so perfectly together and were all quite delicious.

I’m going to make an effort to duplicate this at home.

It’s a delicious, wholesome supper that you can customize by adding whatever you like.

Because curly fries are the greatest fries, I chose a side of them.

Today I wanted to talk about a place I’ve gone to a few times before, but I really appreciate the food there, so I wanted to share it with you. First and foremost, I apologize for the poor photo quality; the lighting was a disaster, and I believe I should start carrying my actual camera out with me. 

Also, if you’re thinking, “I thought she had a wheat intolerance,” know that this post has been in my drafts for a long time, and I can no longer eat part of this great stuff. Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American Indian influences can be found in the South American cuisine at Las Iguanas menu. I’d say that some items share characteristics with Mexican cuisine. 

The one that my lovely buddy Vernia and I visited was at Westfield Stratford, but there are several of them all across London, so if you wanted to check one out, you could. When we were waiting to be seated, the waitress asked whether we wanted vegan/gluten-free menus, which I thought was a really lovely touch because everyone has different tastes, and it’s wonderful that they recognize this. 

We just had the normal menu because my dear and I enjoy a bit of meat *ahem*. To my pleasure, it was a happy hour until 10 p.m., which meant 2 for 1 cocktail and a selection of non-alcoholic coolers, which sounded delicious. I had the Strawberry Red because you know how much I enjoy a red fruit cocktail. I absolutely adore tapas, so that is what we decided to get. 

When split between two or three of you, the Las Iguanas menu offers either 3 servings for £14.40 or 5 dishes for £24; I think this is really fair pricing. We chose the five dishes primarily because I was quite hungry and I enjoy trying new things. What arrived is visible in the photographs up there, but let me explain it in more detail.

 Nachos, nachos—they go so well with everything! I could eat nachos all day long, but we also had some that were topped with delicious shredded beef and chipotle sauce.

I know what you’re thinking: that’s a lot of food for £12? I think it’s a steal. We did indulge in dessert, and I chose the Caramel Cake, which was exquisite; I was expecting it to be pretty rich and sickening, but oh my goodness! It was light and fluffy, not heavy.
