It took us six years to raise the funds, and while selling hot-dog cookers around Australia, we came across a burned-out delicatessen in Adelaide and transformed it into The Pancake Kitchen. 

Some of our earliest clients worked for The Advertiser. They were able to get menus printed for us one night – on dark-brown left-over shirt packaging! They couldn’t see, but they got the job done. The Pancake Parlour is a family-run restaurant franchise in Australia that has locations across Victoria and offers a wide variety of pancakes. 

On May 15, 1965, the first pancake restaurant in Adelaide opened its doors under the name “The Pancake Kitchen.” Today, this establishment is known as “The Original Pancake Kitchen.”
