About the Outback Steakhouse restaurant

The restaurant with an Australian motif with the most international recognition is certainly Outback Steakhouse. The eatery, which is Australian-inspired, was established in Tampa Bay, Florida, in March 1988 by partners Chris T.

Sullivan, Bob Basham, Tim Gannon, and Trudy Cooper. Before being purchased by Bloomin’ Brands to expand its operations internationally, Outback Steakhouse was run by a business named OSI Restaurant Partners. Its first restaurant opened in a country other than the United States in Canada in 1996. However, due to the state of the economy, nine locations in Ontario closed in March 2009.

In June of the same year, a shop in Niagara Falls was reopened, and a second one soon followed.Outback Steakhouse now has over 1,000 locations in 23 countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines, to mention a few.The steaks and specialty combinations are the store’s hallmark dishes.

The sirloin and baby back ribs are popular among diners. The sirloin steak, in instance, is cooked to perfection and comes with smoked baby ribs cut in halves and Aussie fries. Sirloin with grilled shrimp is another popular combination item on their menu.
